On our blog today we’ve got a recipe from the northern parts of Greece. A recipe that’s totally suitable for cold weather, a real comfort food! And so easy to make!
Recipe for buyurdí:
150 gr feta cheese
150 gr semi hard Greek kasseri cheese (similar to the Italian Caciovallo)
1 ripe tomato sliced
1 chili pepper chopped
1 teaspoon spicy paprika
1 teaspoon dried oregano
esti extra virgin olive oil
Preheat the oven at 200 degrees. In a small ceramic pie dish lay the feta cheese, half of the tomato slices the chili pepper and paprika. Place on top the kasseri cheese, the rest of the tomato slices and the oregano. Bake for about 15 minutes until the cheeses start melting. Drizzle with esti extra virgin olive oil and serve immediately.
Enjoy with a glass of a fully-bodied Greek red wine.
