Greek style chicken kebabs

Summer means light dinners, it means barbecues with friends or picnics with the family. In every occasion these wonderful, delicious and easy to make Greek style chicken kebabs will become your favourite summer dish. Don’t forget to accompany them with our famous yoghurt dish,  tzatziki!


Greek style chicken kebabs

Yields: 8 kebabs

1 kg boneless and skinless chicken breasts cut into 2-2,5 cm cubes

¼ cup esti extra virgin olive oil

2 Tsp. lemon juice

1 Tsp. esti balsamic vinegar

1 garlic clove minced

1 tsp. dried thyme or oregano

Basil leaves coarsely chopped

1 green pepper and one red pepper cut into 2 cm cubes

2 small zucchinis thinly sliced

1 red onion diced into wedges

8 skewers

In a large bowl whisk the olive oil with the lemon juice, vinegar, garlic, thyme and basil. Place the chicken in the bowl and let marinade in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

Preheat the grill at medium- high level.

On each skewer thread chicken and vegetables equally, so as to get the same amount of vegetables and meat on each one.

Grill for 5-6 minutes on each side.

Serve with our famous Greek tzatziki!
